Basketballpaisley

Basketballpaisley are the biggest amateur basketball club in Scotland based out of Paisley in Renfrewshire, and play out of their home venue the Lagoon Leisure Centre.

Established in 1995, we have seen great success in the top leagues in Scotland amassing over 100 national championships, more than any other Scottish amateur program currently.

With membership of over 400 we are looking to further expand their reach within their local community and across Scotland and the UK.

We are affiliated to basketballscotland and follow all NGB guidelines. Our coaches are fully qualified in line with the basketballscotland coaching pathway.

Grassroots Basketball

Superleague is our grassroots programme for members that are 5-14 years old. The aim is to promote our sport throughout Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire and provide basketball participation opportunities to as many young people as possible.

This programme is where more than 100 Basketballpaisley players started their basketball pathway and have since been honoured by representing their country in the form of Scotland and Great Britain appearances.

Basketballpaisley's St. Mirren Academy of Basketball was launched in 1995 as our performance development programme, that put our coaching standard into practice for young players in our local community aged 10-18 years. As well as providing these young people with plenty of opportunities to develop other skills and gain qualifications that will bolster applications for university aged participants.

Based out of the Lagoon Centre in the heart of Paisley, Renfrewshire our athletes gain a complete understanding of the game of basketball in both individual and team settings, and upon graduation of our academy have gained the experience to make the leap to the next level (University, College, Basketball Academies etc).
