The 2021-2022 season has so far been an extremely challenging year for clubs in Scotland, including our own! However what we can always find are some real great news stories to lift spirits and showcase the strength of basketballpaisley. Here is a snapshot of how influential our female basketballers are!
We have incredible female role models in the club that have not only performed at the highest level in their sport, but also volunteered their time to inspire the next generation of basketball stars! The GirlsHoop programme is a prime example of this and has grown from 8 players on Day 1 to now over 65 U12's playing weekly. A massive thank you to all of our female National League players that volunteer at GirlsHoop, this programme is a success story because of you all!
Our Women's Programmes have also been performing strongly all season proving that they can compete with any team in their league! This is emphasised by our U16 Women's incredible Scottish Cup Run which will see them compete for the National Title in Dundee during the month of April! Good Luck Ladies!!
At basketballpaisley we always want to showcase and thank all of our members for the tireless contributions they make to basketball. But here on International Women's Day, we specifically want to highlight and celebrate the work of all our Female Players, Coaches, Officials and Volunteers! All of your dedication plays a huge part in ensuring the club continues to be one of the strongest in the country!
